Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using this website or enrolling in any program offered by The Uncontrolling Leader.
By accessing pauldwillis.com or purchasing any course, program, membership, or coaching service, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Services Offered
The Uncontrolling Leader offers executive coaching, online courses, cohort programs, membership community access, and related educational content. All services are for personal, professional development purposes only and do not constitute therapy, clinical care, or legal or financial advice.
2. Purchases and Payment
All prices are listed in U.S. dollars. Payment is due at the time of purchase. By completing a transaction, you authorize us to charge the payment method provided.
Courses and digital products are delivered electronically. Access is granted upon confirmed payment.
3. Refund Policy
Courses and digital products: Due to the digital nature of our content, all sales are final. If you experience a technical issue preventing access, please contact us within 7 days of purchase and we will work to resolve it.
Coaching services: Coaching agreements and payment terms are outlined in your individual coaching contract. Please refer to that document for specific cancellation and refund policies.
Cohort programs: Refund requests submitted more than 7 days prior to cohort start date will receive a full refund. After that date, no refunds will be issued, though you may transfer your enrollment to a future cohort at our discretion.
4. Coaching Relationship
Coaching is a professional partnership, not a therapeutic or clinical relationship. You are responsible for your own decisions, actions, and wellbeing throughout the coaching engagement. Paul D. Willis is not liable for decisions you make based on coaching conversations or content.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, video, audio, course materials, frameworks, and design — is the intellectual property of Paul D. Willis / The Uncontrolling Leader. You may not reproduce, distribute, or repurpose any content without written permission.
Course materials purchased are for your personal use only and may not be shared, resold, or redistributed.
6. Confidentiality
We treat your personal information and coaching conversations with confidentiality. In return, we ask that you respect the privacy of others in any group settings (cohorts, communities) by not sharing what other participants disclose.
7. Code of Conduct
Participants in any program, cohort, or community are expected to engage respectfully and professionally. We reserve the right to remove anyone from a program or community — without refund — for behavior that is abusive, harassing, or disruptive.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Uncontrolling Leader and Paul D. Willis shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or participation in any program. Our total liability in any matter shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service in question.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
This website and all services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, expressed or implied. We do not guarantee that results from coaching or programs will meet your specific expectations.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict of law principles.
